The main reason why I decided to buy the BD-E6300 is the built-in cable tuner. My last two digital receiver (current winner in professional journals) have a good TV picture generated, but the tone, especially in movies was underground. The dialogues sounded either too dull or it was croaking. This is the BD-E6300 different. The picture is outstanding. At the sound, it has also been an improvement. Of course, the data rate transmitted plays a major role here. With data rates of part below 100 kbit / s is not much to achieve the sound, but the BD-E6300 makes the best of it. With regard to the many negative reviews, so I believe that during commissioning everything was not always done correctly. For all channels to be found, you should choose in the settings the correct country. You should set the right frequency range for the channel search. Is this done, then all television and radio stations are found, which feeds the respective cable operators. Should then picture problems, then put the resolution to either 720p or 1080i car. Creating the favorite lists and the subsequent sort channel with the assignment of new channel numbers, so I think at least, is well feasible. Although it takes some time to complete, but that makes it so only once. The sorted lists one can then for security to an external Copy storage medium. The DVB-T tuner I have not tested. On BlueRay player can not be faulted. He can read all the indicated in the technical specifications formats. Picture disturbances in BlueRay operation must not indicate a malfunction of the player. An older version than 1.3 of the HDMI cable can also be the reason. The picture quality is, at least in connection with a Samsung TV, very good. (I'm not a Samsung employee and it is not bought review). The operating noise I would call for a device in this price class as normal. With the current firmware version in 1007, the device works very stable. Recording on external hard drives working properly. The functions are, however, limited to a minimum. My only criticism is the following: For hard drives with ever greater storage capacity, it should be possible to rename the record. The implement in firmware, is a no brainer for a programmer. It was not done (1 star deduction). Regarding copying of recorded programs on other storage media, says Samsung follows: Samsung support the fight against illegal piracy, as well as their distribution and participates in the protection of copyright. To ensure this, the recorded programs with the Digital Rights Management (DRM) will be saved. Thus, it is not possible to play back movies recorded with a Samsung device to other playback devices. The recorded programs are the intellectual property of the TV channel or film producer and therefore protected by copyright. Therefore, a transfer of the records is not possible. You have to accept it. The indication in the good (printed) User Manual that hubs are not supported, not quite true. I have connected an external hard drive via an active hub to the BD-E6300. The hard drive is easily identified. Maybe that was not the case with older FW versions. What might also be mentioned, that is the fact that the BD-E6300 is hot back right on the surface. However, this is for devices in which the electronic components are cooled passively, normal. For me personally, this solution is better than the installation of fans who not only produce noise, but also to transport dust in the equipment. My conclusion is: Who is looking for a very good cable tuner with integrated BlueRay player that does not matter with the purchase of the BD-E6300 wrong.
