The Mag-Lite is actually well made, but if you have not taken longer 2-3 weeks were the new ones yet. Is already happened to me 3 times. I now always turn the switch back from when I do not need them any longer. The cover also tends to loose contact.
The XL100 was too dark so I've bought the XL200. But which has the same quirks.
