Sandinista! follows the inevitable "London Calling" who is the head out of the Clash and certainly one of the best rock albums of all time. With Sandisnista! Clash continue their experimental approach of exploring musical worlds not necessarily labeled pure rock (or even post punk) as dub, rap, funk, pop ... Finally the album is much less compact and more unbalanced that their previous album. I do not agree with those who say it is too long. Rest for the time a bold step because Sandinista! was released as a triple album that vynil extremely disconcerted post Clash punk purists (I even bought this album at the time in the disco). The Clash are obviously pleased (and memory are shared with derision that own pleasure with their own children aparaissent on several tracks), but production is neat and the sound and light lens. The Magnificent Seven, The Call Up and Police on my Back are the flagship titles of a triple album both UFO and misunderstood.
