If the author was able to play this trick, other elements are that this book is very addictive. Without using the classic pattern of turn-pages (2 parallel stories with little cliffhangers at the end of each chapter), Donato Carrisi knows keep us in suspense non-stop: a new stimulus element as soon as the investigation it seems to come to an end or a cul de sac. And presto, we went back on the trail of the murderer.
Apart from a small drop in load at two thirds of the book when the author reveals the psychological aspect of the characters, the reader has very little respite during which he can catch his breath and rest his eyes.
Like any good author thirller, the author holds for us some surprises until the last pages of the book; but it was his afterword notes that are very interesting. For me that has always had the desire to write a detective novel, I always ask the question: how the author had this idea? A news reported in the press? a personal experience? I let you discover the origin of this book.
Finally, congratulations to the model maker who had the intelligence to match the cover (wax doll) than the first volume.
