My first conclusion:
1. Housing: makes a stable impression
2. Appearance: a matter of taste. For a training watch totally fine. For the office lugubrious.
3. GPS: found at the first search signal in 30 seconds I think that's fine.. The tracking was very accurate. Even small zigzag movements while walking are recorded and displayed in the evaluation. It also did not break off with no leaves in the deciduous forest.
4. Functions: they've only just briefly tested but I find the super functions. There are plenty of activities selected.
5. Sync: runs flawlessly on Android and iOS
6. diary and training analysis: The presentation and the functionality I find very varied and vividly. Whether you prefer deep only a superficial view or want into the data, Polar offers everything here. The display on mobile phone is clear and you get used to it quickly. At the same time you can let represent all results on the website.
7.Herzschlag measurement (HR): very accurate, I have measured it in parallel manually and it fit the bill perfectly
8. Customizing: The clock lets you adopt can be good. On the website you can configure the different views of up to 4 values represent (eg. HR, pace (min / km or km / h), lap time and distance, etc.) can reciprocate between the views while exercising and forth.
The only downer:
1. Too bad that the HR can not be measured with LED but there can be turned a blind eye .--> What I've read so far from the Fitbit Surge until now you have in measuring the HR with the clock LED very tightly around the wrist wear. For many users, the measure seems to be somewhat inaccurate. That's why I'm happy as it is, because the passably proven most accurately :-)

Summary for the week:
Meanwhile, I am testing the Polar M400 for a week and I'm getting more excited. I already made 2 runs through the forest. The GPS is going well and will quickly find the satellites. The GPS is a little inaccurate. Sometimes it is 3-5 meters next but I can absolutely live. Finally it comes to the track where you went.
The synchronization works well on my iPad, so I only need to lose weight to load the clock. Until now, I had not yet charge the clock.
The presentation was absolutely sufficient in the app. The good thing is that all the data is downloaded to my profile on the Internet and so I've always available all data anywhere. The evaluation provides numerous methods.

Summary after 1 1/2 months:
I'm still totally thrilled!
At first I thought that it is a disadvantage that the M400 is no touch screen was like the surge Fitbit. However, I am now in winter, happy about the hardware buttons.
I wear the clock only for sports. At night and during the work I have worn them for a while, the Activity Tracker works great. However, the properties during exercise are much more important for me.
Furthermore, 5 star and an absolute buy recommendation !!
