Impulse 2-on-1: Mysteries / Shades (Audio CD)

Customer Review

good idea to press these two albums on one CD. You have here but 2 exactly to each other matching albums (Mysteries and Shades), which are identical in the occupation, almost in the original could be a double album. Mysteries like it much better than Treasure Iceland (1974), mainly due to the 3 10-minute pieces (rotation (my highlight of the album), Everything that lives ment and just Mysteries). Dewey Redman in super playful mood, Paul Motian and Charlie Haden fit as always outstanding to. The whole then runs continuously on "Shades" the 2nd part of the CD also, although I repeat a slight touch out Listen here, the not so good like that. in my view, more agile and innovative, because I'll be right back on it, that me Keith Jarrett but are more with Peacock / or Johnette Danielson / Christensen. Clearly, Dewey Redman and Charlie Haden here make for a lot of factors that do not come from the two described trios in this style of play. But it's all around "like" and there blows me away but objectively speaking, the Impulse time not 100% from the stool.
