After searching, I found on the Internet this idea to combine this with the mounting strap OP / TECH Utility Strap Sling - Black. Porting is comfortable and effective. To my taste, a small layer of silicone or other flexible material that would be added on the surface of this fastener would not be afraid to place the unit on a "fragile" area but that's quibbling!
