Since a brief weeks, I have the radio is now in the kitchen in operation. It must have a reinforced concrete slab and two load-bearing calcareous sandstone walls are overcome by the signal, which is obviously doing very well, because there was no single wireless interruption!
The connecting device was relatively simple. Only missing in the manual menu a step, as I discovered after a call to the telephone hotline of DNT. By the way, the hotline can be reached via a normal area code, and not through a paid service telephone number!
The favorites list is set up via the website [...]. One only has to enter a key to the registry (located in the device under a menu item). The website is very well structured. There are 1188 German-language radio stations available. There are also 1019 German-language podcasts. All the foreign language programs I have not yet considered. Should it even be a radio station that is not listed, you can add it yourself. So far, the server was around the clock - in contrast to many competitors (see reviews about Logitech devices).
Switching between the stations on the preset buttons (12 preset station buttons on the remote control) is very fast. Most can be heard within 3 seconds of the new transmitter. Total dnt seem to have paid to the fast operation with this unit value.
A small point of criticism is the fact that the IP Square crashes to a podcast and reboots. The Hotline could understand the error and has the error assumed. For hotline need I say what: An employee has a day later with me reported by telephone to give talk through this mistake! There are completely different hotlines because for years I'm still waiting on feedback!
Often with the device, the sound is criticized. Also, I just tried to get with the built equilizier a good sound ....
First, I set myself a randomly selected station and the volume is set to level 3. Then I with the equilizier reduces the bass and further turned the heights. Now it did not sound so bad. When I came back after half an hour in the kitchen, my son had put up the radio ("Geile Mucke, ey!") And is looking for a rock station. The sound was very, very high. By equilizier I then increased the bass again and reduced the heights - Suddenly Super sound. It took until I found out: The volume plays an important role in the sound perception. Well, the thing is done, but ... The sound is very different from one station to. For the self-test: Set NDR 2 and adjust the treble / bass a good sound, then switch to MDR Jump - Now the radio sounds dull! Well, that sounded best device is the IP Square anyway, but often is also the transmitter to blame for the bad sound.
