The thicker end has two connection options. Two USB ports, one with 5 V 2.1 A for Tablets or ebook reader and a 5V 1A for smartphones. With this charger you can charge two devices be in parallel via a cigarette lighter (12-24V).
The device is delivered in a small box on which you can find a short english manual for the device. Another guide is not there. Because the device can be operated intuitively, this is for me not a problem. Which device can be connected to each USB port, one can deduce about the amps imprint on the device.
Once the device is in the cigarette lighter of the car, a blue LED will light up. Very handy, I found that with the same charger can charge two devices simultaneously. The external navigation device, smartphone or a tablet, everything needs sometime current and foolishly falling like to two devices simultaneously. Therefore, I was glad of a device that is small, handy and yet extensive.
The first test also yielded positive results. First, only one device is connected to the charger. The smartphone could be easily and properly recharge. The increase followed: The tablet is connected. Normally I get an indication that the tablet (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1) is charged. So only the battery icon of the device has been crossed out and but that was about all. Also charging was not very satisfactory. It seemed to me as if only be charged with 1A instead of the promised 2.1 A the device. Also pinching the smartphones and sole charge of the tablets resulted in no change of the display or charging.
Conclusion:
The tablet is loaded but much slower than expected, otherwise a practical and parallel charging of two devices.
