The keyboard / dock weighs 474g, so too is quite imposing. Its QWERTY keyboard is pleasant to use. The keys appear "soft". The keys stand out slightly, and "a grid around," unlike some laptops where the keys are in a vacuum. (A little hard to express what I mean ... there is nothing around). On the dock, there are two USB 2.0 ports and a subwoofer located along the entire length at the back of the Dock. The touchpad responds well. The whole dock / keyboard is pretty well over. Just a few burrs / cuts at the entourage of a USB port.
Regarding the main advantage of this Miix 2 namely the possibility of using the tablet in 3 different ways, I'm more mixed.
The three types are: laptop, Tablet Simple and easel. For ease of use, you can use the tablet PC Portable Way by laying the back of the dock. The linkage system between the tablet and the dock, not a hinge, but magnetic (or magnetic). And yes, there are magnets on the bottom of the tablet and also in the dock. Of course, we do not see them, they are discreetly hidden under plastic covers, fortunately you'll say. For loading the tablet on the dock, there is a switch in the location or is the magnetic link. In the center, this switch is composed of several small circles with a small pin on each side. On the bottom of the tablet, there is also a switch with a small hole on each side that will follow with the pins of the dock.
To return to the bond system magnets, the advantage over the conventional hinge is that there will be no weakness in the rotation or breakages. By cons, simple magnet that says it is better to avoid moving with the tablet on the dock, because at the slightest jolt or if you lean too Overall, the tablet may say hello to your tile falling or close in on the keyboard (better the second case). Although the magnets are powerful, because as soon as you approach the tablet of the magnetized area, it's all drawn on, suddenly, it often happens that the tablet does not put correctly the way we want, at the open for Portable PC mode, or by folding on the keyboard. Knowing me, I open the flap and as if there were a hinge, I make him do a rotation. After that, I do not know if the plastic will love the long friction. They may be scratches in these areas.
When you get to put it correctly on the dock, the tablet is quite inclined and maintained / supported by the area at the back of the dock that is higher than the rest of the keyboard.
So the second use, the tablet simply. I remember that she is quite heavy and always the fear of dropping its beautiful screen.
The third type of use is the way easel. You put the tablet upside down, the screen facing the back of the dock. So it really is the magnetic link that keeps it upright, because in the back, there is virtually nothing that supports it.
So, if you move with the whole, attention to sudden movements because if the tablet is directly facing the ground. According to the ease of use, there is no keyboard that separates us from the tablet so we closer to the latter to use is more convenient. At the inclination, I would say it is more inclined that in Laptop Mode.
So as you can see, I'm quite shared for the magnetic connection system. If you will use all of it will go permanently, otherwise, think about folding the tablet on the keyboard if you tend mobile use to prevent breakage.
But we must admit that this Miix Notebook / Tablet / Easel is handy.
For software information, there is an included license key to activate the full version of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013. Once done, you have access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. A saving of 140, which is not negligible. So for less than 400, the price of this Miix 2 you all Tablet Dock + / keyboard including Microsoft Office license that will see the final price further declined because Lenovo will reimburse 300 100. In the end, it is rather a good deal.

At Multimedia, you can of course connect your tablet to your TV thanks to its microHDMI port. Small precision, you can either connect with a microHDMI / HDMI adapter + conventional HDMI cable or directly with a special cable microHDMI / HDMI. After some tests, I recommend using the microHDMI / HDMI adapter because once plugged in, there is the game at the outlet, suddenly it moves at the microHDMI taking the tablet, it disconnects, or outright is not recognized. It must be said that there is the weight of the adapter + the weight of the HDMI cable to the microHDMI port of the tablet. By cons, with the special cable microHDMI / HDMI, no play, it could slide to take advantage of the large size of his TV. It takes 10 for each accessory. Note that the game at the adapter level may be absent on another model or another brand, I do not want to generalize.
For playback, the tablet supports for videos, MP4, AVI and MKV. It is therefore compatible with video codecs, H.264, Xvid and stroke. For audio, the codecs AAC, AC3 and DTS.
Note that the MicroSD port supports NTFS and FAT32 file systems. For the Multimedia section, she flat seam beats the Yoga Tablet 2 ... which is a real disappointment to me.
EDIT 12/01/2015
I was reimbursed for 100. So, Lenovo, like Samsung (10 + 30) and Infinix (40), their repayment rates is real. This Lenovo Miix 2 cost me 250 in the end, a pretty good deal.
