The only remaining restriction to classical Harmony are reduced in number full buttons that work independently of the touch screen to call in particular here are the number keys.
So it was now for the special and I resorted to.
The startup was simple: Ultimate Hub Connect to the mains, connect remote control with the laptop and start the device. So call Myharmony.de and install the software.
Unlike my old Harmony One runs here the MyHarmony software as a platform and not the former Harmony Remote Software 7. I raised the question, as my Harmony One would be adapted to the Harmony Touch.
When you add the new remote came after a few steps the question of how the old remote control has been configured and there is then also the input of the access for the old user account and the settings are applied.
Only not all. The activities are grouped behind and in the TV activity has shown me warnings. They were not completely conclusive, what is missing now, and the real reason for the warning is. Make you can apparently because eh nothing.
It then turned out that some features that I had deposited with the Harmony One in the touch control panel have not been included in the Harmony Touch: Record List and Ambilight eg
But here is a clear advantage vs. the old Harmony Configuration: The deficiencies found can park directly in the remote control. The complicated start of the PC and the software, there is no new synchronization of the remote control.
Add functions, sorting activities and keys and set up new activities. Everything right on the remote control or in the smartphone app possible. It then synchronizes itself with the short stroke and on we go.
Earlier I did not because each fart the remote reset (for example, because you tried to seize a key for the Ambilight in the activity), but the procedure on in a note for later detained and controlled the function from the Device menu out until then, because eventually everything is available.
From old habit out I set the remote control still on the plant ... though I could have control and from there the system in the living room, the remote control in the kitchen. The stroke I have stored under the TV and am really surprised how reliably reach the IR signals to the devices. Did this not make the 2 supplied transmitter installed.
What I find a bit unfortunate, the two power supplies. Not really compact and also in duplicate for stroke and charging cradle. Both put a Micro-USB connector. I would have appreciated if this USB power adapter had been there with 2 separate outlets for the two devices. So there is something already. Even with 5 connections each 2A, in order to load Smartphone and Tablet. These currents do not even need it here. Thus, a USB power adapter with 2 USB ports would be the same size and occupies only a 230V earthed socket. I have 5 to 6-fold distributor are here because everywhere as power supply is included, the output current is 1A ... that's a real curse.
It would be for Logitech also not even a big change. Deliver the various models with USB cable and (stroke and charging cradle) mitliefern a corresponding 1-way or 2-way USB power adapter depending on the number of devices.
There are also USB Power Supplies the different connector types (Logitech still provides a Commonwealth plug attachment with).
If still more to come of this kind, where a USB port comes out, then I put my real so to a 5-fold plug. Namely, otherwise very confusing under the shelf.
