The cleaning orgies many buyers have already written enough and I can only agree with there. This printer was a Notkauf, the third printer from Canon within 3 years, which says a lot for me. The first was the IP 4600, which gave up the ghost after a relatively short time, perhaps my fault, I had him "manipulated" buy, want to say, the supplier has since incorporated what, so I could use print cartridges without chip with the Second, also IP 4600 I had as little luck, this time the unit had left but original. He was suddenly on the mind, but had previously been very loud. Well, now I'm "proud" owner of the IP 4950th The whole thing just because I necessarily need a printer that can print on CDs and DVDs. Here it comes: the proven software my previous printer was, for whatever reason, totally changed and the CD print option is somehow incomprehensible. I then installed by the old printer "Print CD" and luckily it works seamlessly with the IP 4950.
Meanwhile, I have already eingefummelt the print options and thanks "CD Print" otherwise no problems. If only misery to the endless cleaning and the associated enormous ink consumption. Do not disconnect the printer from the power supply, it consumes in standby 0, 8 W, but it might make a "wash" less.
But a bonus earned but the printer: Print is great.
Conclusion: there was another useful and affordable printer with CD printing function, I would choose next time no longer Canon.
