The packaging is good, the product is well protected. The installation on the PC is simple. After connecting with a USB cable you need to enter their wireless password, then you can remove the cable. Then you should equip the 6 station buttons with the desired Internet radio stations or playlists from iTunes. The speaker can be completely remote controlled via the PC program or via an app from your smartphone. In addition, there is a small handy remote control which also allows to jump into playlists to the next song (at the device itself is not the fact).
Another reviewer has complained about the small number of the preset buttons. Here I can only agree. Maybe it will be Bose about the software but still allowing a double occupancy.
In general, the software (both app and PC / MAC program) could be expanded sense, for example, the holding of alternative presets for the 6 preset buttons for easy replacement. Assigning alternative presets in the event that one possesses several SoundTouch systems (all have the same 6 presets ...). Integration of Apple TV as AirPlay receiver, so it can be like any other SoundTouch systems drive synchronously ... etc ..
One has to be clear about the fact that Bose products have a strong emphasis on the bass. In the relatively small size of the speakers that may initially be amazing and be perceived as a quality criterion, but you have this sound like too. Namely lacking any possibility to influence the sound. Here a certain arrogance of Bose engineers comes to light, the view of the Bose sound obvious as "basically perfect". The feeling for the optimum sound is very subjective, and the sound of the speakers is already written here as other reviewers, and of course from the site dependent. An equalizer in the app or the PC control program would be very useful and feasible. Bose would thus certainly attract some customers. Not to be misunderstood: The sound is good, but could be a scheme very well. Too Bad.
Likewise, the commitment to AirPlay from Apple seems short-sighted to me. Why can the Sound Touch Products not be Bluetooth-capable?

- Good operation via remote control, app or PC / MAC
- Lack of sound control option
