The biggest changes are the (optional) and the 3D Meganova ability. The 3D is well utilized without being annoying - for example to engage enemies from the background and you have to wait until they come back to the forefront to attack and Kirby can with stars that are distributed throughout the levels themselves move between levels. The Meganova ability occurs in some levels and turns Kirby into a walking black hole that almost anything can imbibe. The Meganova sections are overly simplistic gameplay, but incredibly rewarding. Enemies who were a boss for normal Kirby are simply digested and the only difficulty is how to use the new power to devastate the levels. The sections are short and rare enough that it does not become boring.
As usual at Kirby games, the graphics are very colorful and a little cartoon-like - nothing outstanding, but beautiful to look at. The soundtrack, however, is great - at first as the graphics very cheerful, but if it is serious (as serious as it is in a Kirby game) so does the music a very different tone. The music for the last boss fights is just amazing. Some of the pieces were taken from past Kirby games and re-arranged, for example, the music of the world map - beautiful nostalgia for fans of games.
There are no major shortcomings, but a few things are still noticed me negatively. For a control in the puzzle, where you push blocks of stone by the 3DS moves annoying is: once she is so sensitive that the stone blocks flying around when you slightly tilt the 3DS and another time you have the 3DS almost turn in order to move the blocks a bit. And so nice, the mini boss battles are also the game has in this respect too little variation and you fight again against the same few mini bosses.
Overall the game is but a rock-solid and incredibly likeable package that I can recommend to anyone who likes to play Jump 'n' runs. The main mode may be simple, but the modes that you can unlock, are much harder and you get a whole lot for your money with Kirby: Triple Deluxe. The game reminds me of Kirby Super Star, what fans should tell everyone what they need to know.
