The backlight vulnerability is really the only real drawback of this lens.
Otherwise, I'm totally happy on the D7000 and the D200 with this SWW Zoom.
The wide-angle perspective opens up great opportunities, the picture quality is, in practice, already at full aperture easy this Tokina feels just super and the tactile ago simply super. Nix complain about.
I have not stopped me long with measurement and test images but simply made with the Tokina 116, which I prefer to do with all my other lenses - Photos!
And I, as compared with, for example, my "standard WW-Zoom (Tamron 17-50 F2.8) really say that the Tokina is super.
