The light output and the light color of this light bulb I would classify as absolutely OK. A 60W bulb can be replaced in any case well. Actually, a top product, only has unfortunately given up the ghost after only 7 months and approximately 200 hours of my three bulbs. The lamps are operated by the way in a generously ventilated bar radiator made of stainless steel, in the room there are temperatures around 25 ° C.
At Philips, I had to learn that there are in consumer LED lamps (which here is a) there is no manufacturer's warranty! Out of fairness, it nevertheless sends me to a new one. The warranty conditions at Philips are expressed nice, confusing. Namely, there is an apparently identical LED lamp from the CorePro series, which then again has at least One year warranty.
Conclusion: With this lamp you buy the proverbial pig in a poke. It is indeed still the legal guarantee to the dealer, but this is almost impossible to enforce, especially for the burden of proof after 6 months.
Other manufacturers (eg Osram or Ledon) give to all products significantly longer warranties. But as Philips may in principle sell any short-lived products, without the consumer can do something about it at a reasonable cost.
A star for such a short-lived product, a second for the goodwill. But whether Philips converts me more lamps, is uncertain.
Addendum, 7/25/13:
To date, no replacement lamp has arrived with me from Philips. Is without a renewed effort
probably nothing will happen more. Is the lamp well before their specified lifetime broken, then you have just bad luck.
Therefore, depreciation on a star.
Addendum, 29.07.13:
Today but a package of Philips is yet arrived. Even with a lamp from the Masters Series, but only with 470 Lumen instead 600th
But already the second lamp flickers of 9.5W series. The lamps appear (especially in the current temperatures) thermally so
to be at the end, that they just do not work properly. It will not have a reason why the lamp has an aluminum heat sink with fins of the Master Series. Therefore, it remains at a star.
Incidentally, I have also 5 lamps of this series with 6W, as everything is so far fine.
