To say it straight away: I was convinced the game. The 12 disciplines are mostly advised varied in terms of control and responsibilities. When setting they differ anyway, because everyone has a Nintendo classic on the topic: Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Metroid ... Those for the Wii U is not the first Nintendo console can recognize much. Is held together all through the "Plaza". As the title of the game suggests, this area is laid out like an amusement park, which seems a little forced, because there is no typical attractions of such a park, still grab the disciplines on the style. But in addition, I can overlook ... the importance of the individual "mini-games", and which are a major triumph. Who does not want to cooperate with his Mii of attraction to walk to attraction, which they can also easily select directly from the menu.
Graphically me the Plaza are less convincing, because it looks quite arbitrary. But the individual games look very sympathetic. One should not expect miracles graphics, but that "Nintendo feeling" adapts quickly. Which of course could also be due to the successful background music. The melodies of Zelda and co go now times in his ear, even if they encounter a "just" in minigames.
One should the term "mini-game" in this case, incidentally, do not use pejorative, because you can invest a lot of playing time and Nintendo has made an effort to address not only the casual gamer. No comparison to Wii Play or Wii Sports, which although were fun, but where you had seen everything quickly. Nintendo Land is expensive, but it offers more scope and complexity. Easy to get into the games in, but to master it, you have to but pretty flat out. Unlockable levels, leaderboards, star, gold coins, stamps and trophies invite you to improve. One must not blunt the repeat always the same, but each mini game has different levels and game modes to offer. In "Pikmin Adventure," for example, it is important to create a proud 16 level, the one alone, with up to four friends together or against each other can tackle. One level up, defeated several opponents Boss and the control is very different depending on whether you use the Wii U pad or a wiimote. If you have played through the level again, a demanding one-of-this-time mode unlocks for each. To do so is enough.
Half of the games are just alone / successively playable, what has surprised me at first. What you should know before you buy, if you're looking for a pure party game. Nintendo Land nevertheless makes a lot of fun to several, you can easily change after each round who what role (Pad Wiimote and play always differently) takes over. However, an online mode is missing. You can not play over the Internet and does not see the rankings with his friends. A shame because I think just the last point, could be easily installed. While at the Plaza Miis run around strange, but that is more a nice gag as relevant for the game. One sees their topics on the Miiverse and can write itself directly from the games out to Miiverse (or paint). This is fun, sometimes may even be helpful in tricky places, but will probably be standard on most Wii U games.
Everyone has probably other favorites in the Games, so I will not go into it too much. In my case it is the Yoshi and Donkey Kong games that use the Wii U gamepad in an interesting way. But Zelda and Pikmin be fun alone or with friends. Something bad is more than that resemble more of multiplayer games to the effect DASSL you have to chase each other. But even with these there are of course variations.
Conclusion: The 12 included games differ in their complexity, but overall Nintendo Land offers definitely more scope than Wii Sports or Wii Play. It is perfect for in-between and visit, but also makes own mood, which is why I think it is a successful launch title. You see what it can do to control the console and each should find his personal "game addiction" is where he can bite. Besides, it has the Nintendo bonus :).
