Battery life:
Is really disappointing in the X10. CIPA Standard only 270 images, despite significantly lower energy CMOS sensor and manual focal length control. Since you have in spite of the CCD sensor P7100 with 450 images a lot more joy.
Therefore, a (-) for the X10.
Screen:
The screen on the P7100 triggers with> 900k pixels (460K at X10) higher on, but the potential advantage achieved the Nikon by the ability to flip the screen, especially when shooting from low or higher perspective this is a clear bonus, I appreciate very white.
Therefore, a (+) for P7100.
Remote Release / Interval Shooting:
Accordingly the whole retro look offering the X10 the possibility to attach a cable release, although a nice idea but it is nowhere near the time appropriate.
Anyone who has seen a time-lapse recording (or "timelapse"), knows that these possess their very own charm.
In fact, it is impossible to realize this with the X10, because no possibility for an external interval timer is. If the P7100, however a built-interval timer (30s, 1m, 5m, 10m), whom these values are not enough (like me) who can build either itself an external interval timer or order, which then triggers on the infrared interface of the P7100 (Remote Control ML 3 for about 3 euros available).
