Before I tested several other security suites, but was disappointed by either the detection rate of the virus scanner, the speed or the stability of the programs.
For me it is important that
My PC is not ausgebemst noticeably, ie file access and program starts are not significantly slowed,
the program is stable, ie not crashes, the PC "freezes" or cause blue screens,
and the detection rate is high.
These 3 requirements are met Norton IS fully with me.
I use the software on 5 computers with completely different configurations (from the office computer via the notebook until SpielePC) without problems.
The update to the 2012 version is free for registered users within the period of use.
Just after the update search (right click on the NortonIcon in the tray and "Check for new versions" - download, install, reboot, ready)
The new features of the 2012 version differ in my opinion only Maginal from the previous version:
The surface was "verschlimmbessert". I found them in advance clearly informative and user-friendly. Individuele settings are more difficult. Apparently Norton wants to prevent inexperienced users "adjust" too much.
Another new feature is (allegedly) a so-called. "Norton Management" which allows you to transfer licenses to other computers. I could not find this feature simply .... maybe I can help the (new!) Support in case of need on.
More important is because surely the new bandwidth management, virus definitions in the UMTS network (for cost reasons) only loads when they are important. This saves data volume for those who do not have Flash.
Otherwise, there will be "many improvements" in the virus detection, which I can not check.
For me, the program is also in the 2012 version eiue strong buy recommendation.
