Now a second DLAN set should be used. Here I have to the devolo dLAN 650+ and 1200+ Starter Kit ordered me to compare both products. As an indicator of the connection quality and speed I have taken the Devolo Cockpit to Help. Before the test all kits were being updated to the latest firmware.
Test 1 - Both sets had to say within a circuit that was hedged via the same security in the same room. While the Devolo dLAN 500 and 650 kits geschwindigekitsmäßig in both directions were mostly very together, which was with the 1200+ kit usually not the case. And if they do then the performance was 10% higher than that of the devolo dLAN 650+. To have clarity that it is not an isolated case each kit has been completely separated from 10x power and plugged back and then read out the connection speed.
Devolo dLAN 500AV plus - 300Mbps in both directions, sometimes 310 and 290Mbit, the differences were bigger Never.
Devolo dLAN 650+ - 450Mbit in both directions, sometimes even 435 and 465Mbit, no major differences
Devolo dLAN 1200+ - with luck even 500Mbit in both directions, the other 9x very asyncon in speed
usually 650 or 700 and 120Mbit and 80Mbit.
2. Test - here had to communicate to the next higher floor dLAN kits from one. The outlets were connected to different fuses and circuits. Each kit had as previously ran 10x.
Devolo dLAN 500 AV plus - ZW 75 -. 90 Mbit in both directions with max. 10Mbit difference was this kit again a decent performance
Devolo dLAN 650+ - ZW 100 -. 130Mbit in both directions with max. 20Mbit difference. Similarly, the 500 AV plus set only faster.
Devolo dLAN 1200+ - Again much the kit to negative. asyncrone 210 to 60Mbit, 140Mbit about once in both directions.
If I go out the drops of the speed in both directions by disturbances in the power grid even then the dLAN 1200+ probably have no more connection.
Conclusion: the dLAN 1200+ can not meet the demand and the expectations placed on him and often shines with very asyncronen speeds. Runs the Set relatively syncron then 10% performance well below my expectations. If I see it in Reklation the price then the Set 650+ wins comfortably on his big brother. I can not recommend this set. It is not yet mature.
