Dark Souls II - Collector's Edition (Video Game)

Customer Review

FYI: Did the game so far 3 times through each one tried as a magician, warrior and Dex-class, as well as the previous hundreds of hours.

To review (completely spoiler free):
Preliminary times me is this 'Uh our game is so hard, you'll soo often die' Marketing on the cookie. The two predecessors were just hard, but that was because it was just not as iconic so it Runge rode.
When DS2 is a permanent rubbed under his nose, that it's a tough game, and around which the number of simply unfair bodies must prove the pro gamers increased many times over, so that even the best player at least X times the grass bites.

Difficulty:
Too many unfair points. The Art of DS 1 consisted difficult but to be fair. If you went on calmly and concentrated and had reasonably good reflexes were most alive places to survive. DS 2 is too often on opponents constellations that are simply unfair, and which one the first time - what to expect if you do not know - even with good reflexes simply can not survive.
Likewise, some jump deposits that are indeed safe lands where the character until he suffered a further rolls and into the abyss glitch, etc., to the mans 20th start then creates time that he somewhere wedged and in level geometry does not crash. Extremely annoying and unnecessary, here is the design just willed that you die again and again, because luck plays a major role to.
At the same time however, many of the bosses are too easy, I was partly really disappointed. Block -> Combo wait -> Counter, with enough stamina to crack so every boss, some went on the first attempt within 60 seconds down ... as has the cutscene in which they were introduced lasted longer: /

Atmosphere:
Again relatively strange discrepancies. Some areas, enemies, NPCs, etc. fit perfectly and give the old, familiar feeling oppressive. Sometimes I had the feeling that the overall picture is not somehow harmonious. I could not even identify exactly what it is, but this world leaves too many questions. The world of Dark Souls 1 has declared himself without anything explicitly to explain. You could piece together easily. In Dark Souls 2 many acts simply incoherent, it or to enter relationships that are not seen (I had to google at several points in order to know where I was with Item XY now actually hinmuss, and even when I knew the answer to me at all clear how the nu supposed to make sense).
Again, I must again pick on the boss fights: It was not, really not one boss here, which has stayed with me somehow great in memory or has made an impression. The design etc. were not bad, but this well-known 'bombastic soundtrack while blood and water sweats and years later still talking with friends about this Boss' was at no time since, for me at least not.

Multiplayer:
Here the developers have really knuckled and, both co-op and PvP fans quite a bit of food. While it is not possible to specifically connect to someone, but a tool, it was added to the hand with which the chance given to someone to play together as well as being 100%, without having to login as the previous 500 times off and on again possibly to the same network to land as the target person.

Game Length:
My first playthrough with all optional content and bosses took almost 80 hours my last when I knew WOS's at, just under 30 hours. Of content is a lot on offer here, and what I really like the large number of optional bosses and areas that can be played, but not necessarily. So you off going to be needed by the story, but it's not busywork aka 'bring 10 wolf furs to NPC xy'.Manche Things you do lead to changes in the world or unlock new options released (referred to is not made clear but it almost by accident finds out, or do not).

Underscore the all read probably more negative than I mean it. Dark Souls 2 for me is still a good game and worth every euro, but in my opinion there would halt some have been more in it.
