The cable looks as far from good and was delivered as described on Amazon. I can only guess that the cable is shielded gender, as there is strong feedback, according as in how the two plugs are far apart at one end. I use (wanted to use) the cable as extensions between a DVD / CD player and my tube radio with banana input. Connected is all about a banana-Audio 5 pin Adapter + Audio RCA. When I use the above cable, I have to tell them apart the ends several centimeters on the radio side, otherwise you have a very loud hum on the line.
