I had first ordered this vehicle for our child, because I had previously already made satisfactory experience with the brand Jamara.
The car comes in a nice box with a dozen small game pylons like the children very well.
Unfortunately, the car drove only for an afternoon, it just wanted to draw yet. Thanks Amazon returning but was not a problem.
Subsequently I bought the identical competitor of AMEWI whose remote control technology, the model of Jamara at the same price (in WHD even much cheaper!) Proved to be superior to clear.
According to the technical similarities all these vehicles have the same mechanical weaknesses. They feature 5 speed steps. Within these speed steps, the speed can be controlled fully proportional, which allows only the two lowest levels of use halfway useful. In the higher levels, it is virtually impossible in this particular model of Jamara, useful to control the model, because the steering is not working proportional. Since the competition with the 2.4GHz controllers and proportional control clearly in the lead. But even there it is at level 3 very difficult to avoid crashes and rollovers. The front axle is more delicate and is probably relatively easy to break. Probably not without reason describes the manual exchange of some "weak parts", but forgets curiously enough to explain how to remove the body, the back although screwed, is forward but secured with a kind of barbs, which appears to be without damage to open barely ,
The small engine is unfortunately relatively weak and the model is only conditionally for trips outdoors also due to the very low weight. In the lowest level but driving is so leisurely that even children can use it very well collect the first experiences. Unfortunately, the remote control from Jamara is very unintuitive to use and the kids off in the hustle and bustle of the effort to control rapidly accidentally in higher speed levels or the Turbo Mode. Then the car slams uncontrollably against all sorts of obstacles and is - as can easily be seen from the other reviews - easily broken.
Essentially, this car definitely has potential fun, but recommended more for adults with some experience in remote control. Disadvantages compared with the AMEWI vehicle:
* Classical radio technology in 27 / 40MHz band is susceptible to interference and less flexible
(Only 2 models at the same time). In addition, children can easily break off the long telescopic antenna.
Also the model an antenna is required which does not affect also especially durable.
* The steering does not work proportionally.
* You will need 6 x AA cells (the competition only 4)
* The remote control is unintuitive. Some buttons do nothing. The speed steps are
Buttons pressed, which also happy times pressing the children accidentally and an indication of
currently active level does not exist.
Besides AMEWI vehicle still there an optically completely identical and even more favorable by s idea. However, there is in the reviews that the latter as well as the reviewed here vehicle is not to control proportional. Thus in this comparison the AMEWI would be the clear favorite.
Conclusion: Better to buy the competitor. This has no weaknesses in the control and thus a higher life expectancy. In addition, thanks to high frequency technology there less problems with the operation of several vehicles and no risk of fracture antennas.
