Just came back from Peru back mat at High Camp Alpamayo tested, super insulation performance, comfortable as the bed at home, unbelievably small pack size. Certainly not as robust as a classic Therm-a-Rest mat (sharp objects should be kept away), and rustle it does actually, but people: what we are talking here? This is not a mat for the campsite in Paris or ornithologists, but for the tour where you have to carry your own luggage! And after 1500 meters of altitude bother me no more rustling :-) For purists, a clear recommendation, who is afraid of the leak, which still takes a fabric covering with (but is again weight and volume). The only comparable alternative would be to Exped DownMat 9 (fill goose down), but weighs 3x as much (full-size 982 g versus 350 g) and should - as organic filler, be kept dry (ie not inflate the lungs, pack not wet ), otherwise the müffelt down, and isolate it no longer does wet also. The NeoAir All Season is compared more like a classic camping mat, so much heavier and bulkier. The Amazon mat way, I have returned, whilst other players were exceptionally more than 15 cheaper and also had the XL to a super price on offer.
