Advantages of Bamboo:
+ Value for money extremely well
+ Detachable USB cable for transport without cable breaks, female sunk
+ Compact design with no frills or bulges, can be stowed well.
+ Additional programmable features (scroll, buttons)
+ Flat shape pleasant in daily use.
+ 16: 10-interpretation allows proportinales mapping on widescreen monitors
+ No batteries, light pen and replacement nibs
+ Sophisticated look with understated design
Disadvantages:
- High-frequency whistles of blue LEDs - supposedly only for first series.
- Buttons / scroll wheel are a bit "worn out" at me after a few months and often give incorrect commands (eg Menüscrolling).
- Pin borderline ergonomically (too thin to + smooth)
Compared to the more expensive Intuos3 series still fall more points, either the lower resolution of tablet and pressure ratings, the much more expensive "professional" driver with much more setting and programming options or simply the opportunity to work with various separately adjustable pins etc. to work. However, if the hobbyist or beginner do not notice or miss.
For occasional users ideal for traveling with higher Anprüchen still suitable, but professionals (and those who want to be there) home office should be set despite the high price rather professional device.
Not least because of the many advantages and the excellent price-performance ratio 4 stars. One star deduction for not entirely convincing durability and Wacom's price & driver policy.
