Secondly, the vocal tracks of the original were only partially backed by a new arrangement (in Clocks, Better Together, Dancing Shoes, One Step Too Far, She Will Be Loved, Modern Way). The other part of the album make up "cover versions" with Spanish lyrics and a completely new arrangement, sung by Cuban artists (this is the case with As Time Goes By, Killing Me Softly, Ai No Corrida, Do not Know Why, Hotel Buena Vista , The Dark of the Matinee, High and Dry).
A special case here probably "I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For" a: the U2 original is here only the chorus, which apparently was not present as pure vocal track, and has therefore been completely sampled. The rest of the song is sung by Coco Freeman in Spanish. Sounds somewhat doubtful, for my taste in this combination.
Remains "Fragilidad" that takes the original vocals of Sting's own version of "Fragile" (from its Spanish / Portuguese album "Nada Como El Sol"), backed by piano and percussion. For me the highlight on this sampler.
Why, however, "As Time Goes By" had to think twice off is beyond me.
