The iron is indeed made in China, but it is hoped that at least something "Made in Germany" is in the name AEG.
The workmanship is very good, the iron is super comfortably in the hand and part slides as if by magic.
The 1.90 m long cable is protected on the iron with a hinge from snapping off.
The issue of security is very important for this model.
The iron stands securely on a wide rubberized foot and can not be so easily tip.
If the iron for more than 30 sec. does not move to the soleplate, it switches off.
A trip to the base after 8 minutes of non-use.
Very handy, I find the ability to simply fill tap water.
Descaling then takes place in the iron.
It has no anti-scale cartridge to be replaced, for cleaning the inside there is an extra button.
You can either without steam or vapor in 2 stages ironing.
Really strong is the extra burst of steam is activated by pressing a button and is vertically applied.
Thus one can also sometimes a jacket or a blouse sensitive "evaporation" and thus de-wrinkling.
Even at a spray nozzle front was intended. This allows the material to be ironed moisten.
In summary, I am thrilled with the iron because it fully met my expectations of the ironing results
and also still is safe and energy saving. Durchc the built permanent Antikalk cartridge it tends to be low maintenance.
One can only hope that is the positive first impression still underpinned by a long service life.
