I thought it was only concerned that in the game all the players either win together or lose together. That sounded to 'hand-holding' and boredom. But far from it. It caused great fast planning discussions on how to jointly cope with the game - and that makes really fun! The degree of difficulty is very easy to customize template (there are certain cards with very negative effects, and their incorporation ratio in the action card deck controls to the degree of difficulty). It can theoretically be played alone, but I've never tried and I can not imagine that as well. With 2 players, it is easy to play, but four we found it best.
