I have long toyed with the purchase of the Galaxy S Tab 10.5 as it should replace my old Galaxy Note 10.1 (2012).
The low-resolution display of the Note 10.1 came up against its limits when I started it mainly as
To use reference work in medical school and I wanted to finally come into the enjoyment of high-definition med. Literature.
## ## Packaging (4 out of 5 stars)
The packaging is simple, in a recycled cardboard. There is only one charging cable and that's it.
Headphones would have been nice.
## Display ## (5 out of 5 stars)
The OLED display is great, no doubt, and simply invites to watch high-definition videos. 1080p is a true delight.
## Design ## (5 of 5 points)
I've never bothered me at the plastic back of Samsung devices, could
but partly the objections of the trade press to understand that simply valent metal
Feels. The "Golf ball texture" on the back, I find successful and it looks much
better than even the glossy white back of my Note II. Well done!
## Battery life ## (5 of 5 points)
I once a long-term test video made test, thereby activating the power saving mode, screen brightness
reduced to half and WLAN disabled. Then "The Great Gatsby" run in an endless loop.
(Infinite loops go with MX Player)
The tablet has persevered 14.5 hours and I thought that was a respectable time.
One could theoretically see an entire transatlantic flight, including Layover movies without being asked before the socket.
## Performance ## (2 out of 5)
Now for the disappointing part, which was ultimately responsible for the fact that I Tablet
but could not use as an eBook Reader and return had. The display can still
be so nice if even annoying stuttering occur when you scroll a PDF. First
the new page be blurred, then you have to wait until it becomes sharp. To be there
even I as a Samsung fan disappointed and sorry to say that the iPad can better Air.
When times attempts to engage in a great eBook somewhere to jump into the middle,
then you have to first wait at least 10 seconds, until it was rebuilt. At a
Electronic market, I have the same test with a
iPad Air made and unfortunately it has since worked much faster. I write "unfortunately"
I'm not an Apple fan and actually rather prefer Android.
The performance surfing is not good and despite the latest firmware upgrade, there are often stuttering,
delayed inputs, etc. As a browser benchmark times you just can go to the Media Markt's website
and look how bad the tablet to handle it. Inputs are implemented very late and the
happens regularly in elaborate websites. In fact if the 4 slower processors
are to blame, poor optimization, or a combination of two circumstances, I can only speculate.
I wanted to download me beautiful wallpapers (2560 x 1600). I was surprised about the bucking
even in the Gallery when browsing through the images. Leafing through the new image is not the same sharp,
but it looks like the tablet each vector individually renders sharp. This is spoken casually doof!
I do not want to watch the tablet when working, but the other way ;-)
I play rarely, the performance could not fully test therefore. Plants vs. Zombies 2
However ran without problems.
Conclusion:
Despite ingenious displays, good battery and chic design, this tablet is not recommended without restriction.
Why? The performance makes a often a spanner in the works.
Anyone wishing to use the Tablet productive, which is how I feel frustrated.
For whom the tablet surely is perfect, are people who are looking mainly films on the tablet.
Finally, I would like to say that even me as a Samsung fan this over the
Klee laudatory "product test" reviews displeased. If a subsequent to the review, the
Device is given, then the review is of course positive (he). The white of course Samsung.
However, this distorts the actual assessment of the product and thus the consumer harm
in the long run yourself. Namely, when there is interest in a device itself and
only sponsored positive "product test" reviews the tester reads.
Thank you for reading.
