+ Very compact
+ Very bright
+ Sharp
+ Valent "feel to the touch"
Disadvantages which should be read in tests:
- Vignetting (shading) at open aperture (1.7)
One disadvantage is not as noticed in the tests, but pretty disturbs:
- Chromatic errors under certain lighting conditions (strong light-dark contrasts)
This error, it seems to me after reading a user comment is apparently corrected electronically in Panasonic models and therefore does not fall so on. Also Olympus users, the errors in small-format photos stand out not the same, in indoor settings, portraits ... he will usually not be a problem. The error in Gegenlichsituationen is tempered by a certain Streulichblende (sunshade). Still, I would have expected more because when Objkektiv this price range.
Negative, compared with the kit zoom lens (M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm), I notice also the louder noise with automatic focus and even the iris. It's tolerable, but it is significantly louder.
Overall, quite a good lens, but not as a top objective as I was used to from my old ZEISS lenses. Fairness, one has to take into account the special, compact design (Pancake).
I'm still trying to upload a picture that demonstrates the Farbsaumeffekt described.
