Please note: only tested with the above mentioned, huge background, not the "normal" small Falteflektoren!
Tripod:
The tripod is almost identical to Delamax WT 806th The height is 242cm with (measured in horizontal cross-ties) slightly lower (about 18cm) and the 3 legs depending 3.5cm shorter. The legs can thereby be somewhat deeper and further adjust (leg distance 98cm as opposed to Delamax with 95cm). The rest, so the clamps, screws, intermediate supports, everything is like the Delamax.
With dedicated flash and translucent umbrella or DIY softbox, TOP. With the foldable background in landscape format also super (indoor). BUT in portrait deficient (Clamped as in the setting of the picture). The whole thing tilts almost, if the background is not placed on the floor. I would not let that thing as stand alone. All screws can be tighten, and if you do not need the extra height, I would definitely recommend this tripod as such. The question that arises is: "Is there ever a normal tripod, which can keep this configuration?"
Unfortunately, you can not centrally arranging the background to stand (in portrait mode), although the problem would be solved with the stability, but the lever from the telescopic arm is too long and presses against the background. Too Bad.
+ Stand alone well
+ Good for landscape background
- For vertical background bad (if the frame does not touch the ground)
Telescopic:
The joint is greater than the image (diameter about 8cm, 9cm width without leverage) appears and makes, although it is made of plastic, very robust. The two rotary levers can be pulled out of a spring mechanism a piece, and then bring them to a different position. Very useful when you would otherwise come to the background when rotating. The telescopic arm is stable only if the background in portrait format, it flexes easily, but to get over. So far so good.
But a big drawback: You can not just chuck the background, like you knew it would think. The frame is too wide for it (about 1.6 cm). So you have only one side of the background in the clamp push in at a 45 degree angle and then the clamp f. The other side completely agree on the rod and only then can this (again at 45 degrees) attach. Now you can clamp (which is now at the background) again pushing on the rod and secure the whole of the joint.
Because think of "just try the other side" flat. The same applies to game. Portrait and landscape mode. Just looks different. But maybe it should also be so difficult clamped so it does not slip in portrait mode. I dont know.
+ Sufficiently stable
- Very inconvenient to use (with the foldable background 150x200)
- Lever bit too long
Conclusion:
Would I buy the product again? Difficult to say, f. Smaller than the folding reflectors DynaSun RE2010BW with 150x200, I do not know what will make the other better. The negative points would probably not occur here. Therefore definitely buy recommendation.
Since I'm only an amateur photographer, I only need from time to time this thing. I just looked around and looking for alternatives, but I am not convinced of this.
Therefore: Despite these negative points, I come to the conclusion: I'll keep it.
