I have the miniHomer now almost a year in operation. Time to write a review. I bought it for our last vacation. We like to make coach tours where you repeatedly arrives a day somewhere in the boonies and photos shoots. Now my camera does not have GPS. So you have at home, if you do not lead minutely book, no idea where that photo was taken exactly indeed where one is ever ventured anywhere. That memory gap is closing the miniHomer. He logged all the time the position and dokumemntiert the journey. How often the position is shot, you can adjust. So small the unit is well, but the log storage than enough for a 2-week tour. The battery is charged via USB (incl. The included charger!) And extends for approximately 12 hours per charge. Could be a little longer. In the lunch breaks you should remember to turn off the unit. If the time in the camera to the minute synchronized with the miniHomer is to bring the logging data and the images from the camera together no problem with the included software NTRIP. So can already be in the NTRIP itinerary tracking on the map. The software also allows the synchronized GPS data into the images to restore. Upload and locate on Flickr - no problem, just like the Export for Google Earth and other platforms. The options for both the device and the software are many and can not be any described herein. The manual gave the newcomer a quick and competent insight. Unusual and pleasant I found the language of the manual. Not sober and technocratic. Instead, one is, well, somehow guided by the setting and application personally. Rather a personal consultation as a concise list of technical features. And should there be any questions about software or device, I have had very good experiences with the ZNEX support, both on the phone and by e-mail: Quick, friendly, straightforward and helpful. Conclusion: The combination of miniHomer, NTRIP software and ZNEX service is great. Who wants to document his images and his journey and how I have pleasure to follow accompanied the itinerary on the map with pictures, even after some time, I want to put the device highly of heart.
