The external hard drive attached to a Samsung TV UE46ES7080 and I take on shipments, and use the hard drive for Time Shift function. The installation went perfectly smooth. Recording, playback and time shift function properly. Because the included USB cable is too short (about 50 cm), I have the hard drive with an "Amazon Basic USB 3.0 Cable (A Male to Micro-B connector) 1.8m" connected to the TV.
