Two things hurt before buying:
- The heavy weight of the castle (about 1.2 kg) increased the live weight of an aluminum folding bike by almost 10 percent and
- The purchase price between EUR 55 and EUR 75 (depending on the provider and offer).
Comforting is by buying the
- High quality and level of craftsmanship and the castle
- The practical storage bag of the castle with additional Velcro straps for flexible mounting.
But: with a compact folding bike or trekking the solid-mounted lock bag is super compact to attach the bicycle - when the lock pocket is fixed with screws to the bottle holder. Nothing is then above or rattling (and the supplied Velcro strips can disappear in the basement).
Fiddling with the lock requires a little practice - especially if you do not want that the loose end of the castle uncontrolled bounces off the paint of the bicycle.

For Faltradfahrer the quality Bordo 6000/90 a good compromise between low-cost cable locks, inflexible padlocks is (come for the size and weight of a folding bike rather out of the question) and although very aufbruch safely classified "Monster castles" with purchase prices of EUR 100 and weight more than 1.5 kg.
"Sure," this castle as long as someone does not have time and opportunity, with a large device (for example, a bolt cutter) pry the wheel at rest.
At night and in remote locations should be a high-quality wheel actually cover only a very good U-lock ...
For many everyday is the Bordo 6000/90 (with 90 cm strap length) an excellent compromise between security and practicality (note: the reduced 75 cm Strap length of 6000/75 are usually enough).
