we bought the car for our three year old son at the beginning of summer 2013. After some practice he had it there - except forwards and backwards - to go even curves. Keyword curve of steering is very low. Tight turning radii require lengthy maneuvering. With newer models (eg Jeep Wrangler) but this is apparently not more so. Nevertheless, the vehicle outdoors is quite good control.
The driving speed is reasonably proportional (more gas more speed). The Ford is during slow travel loud electronic sounds (resistors or coil ???) by itself, but this is dismissed by our kids as a real engine sound.
For easy terrain (crushed stone, gravel, grass, dirt Erdflächen) the Raptor thanks to its large wheels (which are, incidentally, filled with air) and the large ground clearance is well suited. Will the mountains but larger, shows the lack of all-wheel drive.
Rollovers are so far apart from scratches on the body without effect. The bumpers are still properly after several clashes.
By the way you light up headlights do while driving. Is gone from the gas, go to the rear lights and light up to a stop of the car.
The journey takes about 45 minutes. Definitely satisfying. When in doubt, the battery is recharged (plug charger) in a very short time.
The Raptor is by the way is definitely not for the apartment.
Unfortunately we had to the car due to a defective on / off switch back (warranty). Nevertheless, I recommend the car gladly.
