Since I missed the PS2 era, I was happier than the HD Collection was announced on the PS Vita. Actually, I wanted to access in the PS3 version, but it seemed to me the format of the PS Vita Ideal to such classics catch. After about 10 hours of play time of MGS2 and about 2 hours playing time of MGS3, I can say: It is really making great games on the PS Vita really fun.
On the excellent PS Vita screen the polished graphics just looks great, although some textures falter a little. But you can chalk up on the basis of age, not really. Control is at the beginning rather getting used to, but after an hour you have the hang of it (hint: do not always have a weapon equipped!). The touch control is needed and is hardly one exception in my opinion not very useful. The exception is the inventory: You have to touchscreen use if you want to equip another item in the inventory. This is very fluid and pleasant!
With headphones, the sound is top notch, with the PS Vita speakers somewhat tinny. Especially in this game is therefore worth headphones.
Unfortunately, the PSP adventure MGS Peace Walker is not contrary to the PS3 and Xbox version. One could now say: Then there lad Just from the PSN store? True, but I have here then pay again and in addition did not (which is much worse) the HD version of Peace Walker. Unfortunately, it is incomprehensible to me why the game has been taken out. Very sad, so I must unfortunately a star pulling.
Overall, you get a lot of fun with a great look that terrific fit on the PS Vita for this price. So far, my PS Vita never ran so long at a time as in recent days. Especially the extent even without MGS Peace Walker is enormous.
Quick note: Every now and then it comes to cutscenes dropouts. The picture freezes, but the sound continues. Happens very rarely, but already 2 - occurred 3 times. Remedy provides only a skip sequence. I hope a patch fixes this error.
