Also, the 1.2GHz quad-core in conjunction with 1GB of RAM is top notch for this price range and when operating everything runs as smooth as silk.
The smartphone is with the size of 133.2 x 67.9 x 8.9 mm and weighing 124 grams, although good in your hand, you sometimes get the feeling that it can easily "slip" could. Also contributes to the backward slightly roundish tailored shape. The keys are a bit more difficult to use, as they just lie on a "slight inclination". But that's really whining at a high level.
However, the reason for my 3 star rating is the GPS. I had the app GPS Test installed outside the door and it took but then beaten 3-4 minutes to the Cink Peax 2 had a position. Because I wanted to use the phone primarily also for geocaching and for Ingress me this value was then but clearly too high.
I've tried to support a solution to bring about. Unfortunately without success. Likewise, I have read in various forums that a "rooting" and then the app "FasterGPS" probably by the entry of another NTP server in the gps.conf file this time to 5 - should reduce 10 seconds. However, the rooting came to me out of the question, because I wanted to lose no guarantee.
So I have the unit converted to play it safe, that it is not a hardware problem.
However, the replacement unit the GPS Fix lasted (so called probably the time until the cell phone may specify the location) is between 2 and 4 minutes. Currently I have the Wiko Rainbow and here (by the way with the same NTP server) takes the GPS Fix 5-15 seconds. For this reason, I now just go once assumed that the component that is responsible for the GPS signal, no particularly good quality.
Unless one GPS only "from time to time" requires or wants to use the smartphone as a navigation and looking at the 2 before driving - brings four minutes time, it is m. E. not a big problem. But just for my Einsatszweck it is useless so.
For me therefore of poor GPS reception and the somewhat reluctant support obscures the clear but otherwise really positive impression. Who does not need a GPS, can safely access. I hope I can help one or the other with my review for purchasing decisions.
