To be proud of!
The control LED lights when power is applied, regardless of the current drain (ie is no charge indicator).
Technical Details regarding USB charging specification.:
Data pins are short connected.
ID pin is bridged with 200kOhm to GND.
With a Nexus 7 (2013) bridged the ID pin causes no permanent charging indicator appears, the device loads but still fine.
With a Nexus 7 (2012) and a Nexus 4, the detection works properly.
Long-term experience: 8 of these power supplies run with me for over a year with a permanent load of ~ 1A, overall I currently have 18 pieces in use. So far, no failure.
(*) As is written here about the wobbly plug: Yes, the plug is shakier than the standard cable for some devices, said also depends on the socket. I have for example a USB power pack, since it will not budge. In Nexus 4/7 against it wobbles a bit, which does not lead to the loss of contact. Although he wobbles sideways, but locks anyway. That he easily slips out and really lose contact I have not yet occurred.
