Left of the steering wheel keeps the phone quite stable and is also nicely aligned vertically. Could but fall down in a heavy jolt along with bracket ..
At the center console you can not align vertically to the cell phone is so slanted that looks something stupid. The display will also be covered to about 10% from the steering wheel and stable is also something else (even worse than the left!).
So I'll keep the mount because it is very nice discreet and I'm not a fan of wheel fixings. But unfortunately it is not ideal for my car.
