This is an all-reader, all burners. Excellent our old Macbook whose own drive but mucks already frequent. Correct operation even under Android, and that is also so on the packaging, pretty convoluted, "AV functionality with Honey Comb". Drive to connect to the Android device (absolute constraint: the USB bus regardless of the device must be able to deliver enough power - not going on SX7 of Pearl, as extra care is needed, but is fine on the Acer A210), open with key drawer, then press button again about 3 sec, resulting in continuous light: the optical drive masquerades now as a USB stick! DVD insert, drawer, wait - now known and read the catalog, the "USB media". Now you can access to the MX Video Player Android on the files of the disc (or with a file manager, when it comes to other content). MX Player, Search Lupe, circle arrow to update, now you should see, for example, from a DVD to TS folder. So you can watch a movie from disc under Android. Comfortable is not (perhaps what to achieve with playlists?) - But actually Android can something not so, optical drives times are not provided, and this functionality is easy to retrofit. Burning is not possible - but perhaps goes writing to DVD-RAM, which I have not tried yet.
