The prog is not so much my thing, I usually hear very good musicians, talented, agile, applied ... with a very intellectualized approach to music, for a result that seems to lack something between inspiration , spontaneity and instinct ... (I accuse no one, these are just the appalling taste of inveterate fan of blues-rock dirty and provocative late 60's, and although hard-rock screaming early 70's, kind one is not there to jazz ', you see ...) Unless precisely the beginnings prog, so in the same years, where (it is well to document a bit ..) I find training, disks interesting and promising retrospectively, and a real contribution for other fringe hard-rock at the time, before the years (very, very fast in fact for my stubborn ear that I fear will always be confined to hear a kind of psychedelic redneck ) where the general evolution of these groups takes this more pro tour (although wearing) that does not affect me, I hear mainly demonstrations of technical and not very musical expression, much like an overcooked dish .. . (of course yes, I exaggerate .. that much ..?) All that to get to the point that precisely this first album wishbone ash is one of such discs, say early prog, which I like most; I find the light, thin and delicate, pretty far from the complication and overload that cool me later ... a digestible album, this is what I mean ..!
