Trademark filed!

A hot potato that "Marcus Mumford" have forged and his sons here.
With their 3rd album, "Wild Mind", the four Brits have changed stylistically but very clear. Tended "Sign No More" and "Babel" quite strongly to folk out you can hear on "Wild Mind" which actually nothing more. Me personally the more reminiscent of bands like "Coldplay" than to "Mumford & Sons" - a pity!
But this stylistic change was quite intentional, "Marcus Mumford" pointed out long before the publication in interviews and press releases, that "Mumford & Sons" a musical realignment plan. Also the fact that the "Wild Mind" should refrain from acoustic instruments almost entirely was, well known, therefore the surprise held me but within limits. I think that the basic idea is quite correct and understandable, whether a third album by the same knitting would not succeed, was highly questionable. In this respect, the idea was to change and develop quite reasonable, but the result for my taste a bit too crass and is radical. "Mumford & Sons" have created through the folk influences and acoustic instruments their own profile, but all thrown with "Wild Mind" uncompromising overboard!
You have to say so clearly: "Mumford & Sons" are actually a new band!
The Folk's gone, has come a kind rock music! But this rock music do not really "rock" because the spark just does not jump on me. The songs are all too smooth for my taste and shall have any rough edges are missing, "Wild Mind" ripples just as though to himself. Even after repeated listening, actually none of the songs stuck with me, none of the choruses with tears me and led me to sing along. The melodies of the songs have so nothing that would cause me to bob to the beat or even shake a leg. The songs move almost exclusively in midtempo, are experienced and also produces perfectly. Unfortunately this is not enough to create a truly "Great" to make music - I think at least. The song material is just too shallow for my taste and arbitrary. For this reason, I now know not what to give for Anspieltipps here, none of the songs has been buried in my memory - Sorry!

My conclusion: It was nothing that musical reorientation was clear for my liking in the pants! "Mumford & Sons" have consistently liquidated all elements that have identified their music. Changes I find basically not bad, but this change of style was radically just too crass and too. The Folk has been replaced by a kind of skirt, unfortunately this has come too shallow and somehow seems uninspired. Even after several passes leaves no lasting impression of this album, it's also boredom felt, a real shame!
"Mumford & Sons" have their trademark filed and become any indie rock band!
Whether this should be so can say only "Marcus Mumford" ..............
