Decor was quite simple. Plugged into a socket connected in the office room, local TV connection and press the WPS button at the repeater and my FritzBox 7390, already the part was connected on the network.
About [...] / in the browser to get into the administration interface of the repeater. In local DVB-C menu I then started searching for a station and after a few minutes he had 197 TV channels found 78 radio stations. They are also there clearly, partly listed with station logo in the channel list. By clicking on the transmitter starts in my browser the VLC player the program. There you can also save the same a complete station list as M3U file, with which you can list the complete station list in the VLC Player on the PC. Who is in a little more with the VLC player, may even set timeshifting and recording on the PC. The ideal would be of course an own software in a similar appearance of the app.
Next, I got on my smartphone (Nexus 5) the Fritz! App TV installed and started. DC all programs appear clearly as tiles. Clicking on the transmitter and the program runs. In addition, the current station is displayed with description at the bottom like the TV set.
In addition, can be created in the App Favorites to access your favorite channels quickly. Here you can in the channel list is not yet sort, but I think that will be submitted in a later version of the App.
Something I had problems with my tablet (HP8 1401), in which the app does not show up in the Google Play store, though it meets the conditions (at least Android 4.0). Even in knowledgebase of repeaters DVB-C on AVM.de I could find no direct link to the app. Then written to support that already responds in the morning and a link sent ([...]). The direct applinks you find the way in the knowledge base of the FRITZ! Box 7390th
So I could the Fritz! Install App TV on my tablet and restart without problems. Following the same principle, I was able to install the app on my Kindle Fire HD, since the app is not listed in the Amazon Appstore.
The quality of the image is on all devices in order. Chance I short video and Tonhänger, but not so that it interferes great. Only the HD programs are missing on the mobile devices.
In addition, I use the Fritz! WLAN Repeater DVB-C as a wireless bridge to my PC, which was previously tied up with a simple WLAN stick. Simply a network cable from the PC to Repeater, to me the connection is the same much faster. Alternatively, one could but integrate as well as other devices such as DVD players or TVs with a network connection without Wi-Fi in the local WLAN. But it is important that also support the local router the 5GHz band on the WLAN, otherwise the bandwidth could be too tight. The best connection quality is achieved certainly, if you connect the device directly via LAN with WLAN standard AC. So you have the complete range for streaming to devices.
