Good explanations and a nice insight into Japanese everyday cuisine. The recipes are almost entirely in Japanese, but offer substitutes, if you do not get something abroad. It begins with a general statement on food in Japan, typical Japanese foods, healthy eating, Japanese bento boxes, etc. Then the recipe section with very attractive photos follows. Especially handy I find the timeline, which begins when one minute to each of the recipes in 20-15 to create (which here is a little "cheating" because sometimes the night before to make preparatory work would be). Helpful also the explanation is how quickly Bentos "aufhübscht". The recipes are perhaps not suitable for complete beginners (or those just have to take a little time to expect), but all useful and well explained. The author also introduces websites on justbento.com and justhungry.com. Your writing is very sympathetic to me, especially because it emphasizes freshness and taste again and again - because the best healthiest and prettiest Bento is meaningless if it does not taste. With this cookbook, but one need not be afraid in front of it.
