Technically occurred to me already when unpacking an innovation unpleasant. The Aufladeschnittstelle was changed. Were all charging stations available on the sonic toothbrushes in my exchange with all appliances, I can now use the Trizone only brought to the charging station. And the station in turn also invites any other devices than just the Trizone. I guess that has something to do with the conversion of NiCd to NiMH batteries. But I think that one would have in a device 200 can solve better. I bestitze for many years battery chargers for different battery types, the technology is neither new nor complicated. But I draw ever from a star. When unpacking the battery was fully discharged by the way, so once a few hours to the socket ... The appliance must stand on a shelf by the way, a wall mount is only available for the SmartGuide. The charging time is actually comparatively long (quite empty to full> 24), the shelf life for 10 days shorter than the 14 days that I was used to. This is probably connected with the BT-consumption.
The toothbrush itself comes with 3 normal brush and a special variant of the interdental spaces. In Manual 4 more variants are touted (Cross Action, deep cleansing, White and Sensitive), which correspond to the 6200 with similar programs. One or more of them to settle (rather than 3x Standard) is the marketing strategists as well not have occurred. Small side note: from my 'Vital' times I have found a new double-headed brush. I do not know if that is still sold today. But it certainly works flawlessly on the 6200. The placer was therefore not changed.
This brings me to the topic SmartGuide.
Question 1: I need it? Answer: Not really, because the well-known of all models 30-second / 2-minute timer signal is still present. It visually indicate is unnecessary in principle. The only thing you can not see directly on the device, is the program.
Question 2: I want that? Answer: a matter of taste. I think you can help children animate to brush your teeth, adult ... well. Who is it, will probably draw more App. Personally, I think the SmartGuide therefore an unnecessary cost drivers.
What I would in the app. It is positive that it works. No kidding, I've tried various constructs of this type (for example, for a video camera) and some were programmed pretty sloppy. The here basically works properly, even if my other, non-functional items are pushed open. First, I stumbled upon the rights will this app. Why do we need the access to my contacts or my location? So what's not, which is why the app was uninstalled immediately after the test phase.
Also, the initial structure of the BT connection cost a little nervous because the standby time (here I am) of the toothbrush with maybe 15 seconds quite short. But after that everything went as it should.
That leaves the travel set. I like that because I'm often on the road. That you can make the charging station so small (by omitting the container for the head), I like that. So that fits in the smallest toiletry bag.
Conclusion: at the cleaning performance even there -As from previous models gewohnt- really nothing to complain about. But the price-performance ratio is in any case no longer really reasonable to call it with a lot of good will. SmartGuide may pass for children and the app as a gimmick for statistics fans yet, but even then I go the monitoring functions via assignment of rights clearly too far. For this, the amended charging interface and the missing wall mount ... for the price I get something better. In my case the device is used as a travel toothbrush. But it can also spend significantly less.
