I use the holder for the CD slot in the Astra J (CD 400) with magnet in Asus Zenfone 5. both work pretty well in combination. The Asus has an arched back. by inserting the plate, the mobile phone minimally thicker. but with a little align the magnets in the housing fits all.
Maintenance: it also threatened to go on a variety of terrains no crash. Despite arched back of the phone covers. if necessary change the mobileeasy the position when it was badly placed "on edge" to the magnet.
Placement: the operation of the radio and the air conditioning works but the buttons are of course covered. Occasionally I come across the path between shift knob and steering wheel to the mobile phone. matter of habit. but did not lead to a crash.
