Excellent transcribed conference as a rather terse book. The two authors give us two totally complementary interventions purely historical vision followed by a more philosophical view explaining the mechanisms that enabled the spread of Christianity and the fall of paganism. Intervention by Luc Ferry is a disconcerting clarity and clarity, these explanations are accurate and enjoyable to read very simply explained to the novice that I am. A book that makes you want to look deeper into this subject so vast, but so exciting. One complaint: its brevity, the book is quite short. However, the most stunning remains in the fact that we learn a lot in so few pages. A book I therefore strongly recommends but unfortunately leaves us hungry.
