I consoled myself in pending re-listening to the albums in my possession, and so spent many happy hours listening because my club has almost all his albums, but I confess to have copied some through a friend who appreciates more live albums, me rather studio albums, we were able to exchange our shortcomings. Why look for this integral because I have everything I want? For small bonus and also enjoy a good sound because finally remastered 24 bit (no less!).
Here on the eve of Christmas 2010 (see there no mercantile interests of the record company) I raided my savings and clicked as soon as I was able to offer me this new batch of integral. I look ... To my surprise factor my book, this is it I have all Sanson (or almost).
I was already prepared for the particular packaging via internet a few photos but the cabinet is still quite large and even uglier than the idea I had of it. Why choose these ugly greenish colors and drawings of little green and pink sausages to illustrate an integral Sanson? Not enough photos? Assumed a bad taste? A joke that would have gone wrong?
In short, I pass on the appearance and I open the doors of the integral. Inside are rows of cardboard covers into which the discs slide (at the risk of scratching as has already happened with a collector Lavilliers ...). No original pouch outside the box in order to be in harmony with the hideous housing, they are still reproduced in a small flap of each cardboard sleeve.
My biggest complaint is listening because the re-master is simply a dusting of original masters already appalling cd previous editions. Instead of re-mixing of the various tracks is the original album to finally recover a correct sound, the record company has decided to keep the masters atrocious period by increasing the levels and by more acute that it seems more clear. In short, a deception that skinned my ears. The various original bands have unfortunately been lost or destroyed? A re-mix is too expensive? I do not know but it is sad not to finally do justice to these beautiful songs. Newest diques enjoy a good sound but I preferred, however, for example the original sound of "I, the venom" much less aggressive in this integral.
I would end not a positive point about two booklets accompanying this box. One grouping the lyrics and the other evoking the career and life of Veronica. They are well made and illustrated with beautiful pictures.
It remains for me to return to my parents listen to classic Vero 33t to listen with good sound with the addition of large pockets until a good fairy finds the tapes and vintage looks it. One can always hope it went well 80 between the output of the original Metropolis and the rediscovery of the almost complete in 2008 ...
