The camera is inserted in the CSI port (the Ethernet port, HDMI connector contacts direction) and after a few shell commands (firmware update, driver installation) ready.
Raspistill with the command line command and a few parameters could be immediately shoot picture sets and examine. The pictures are of good quality.
For night vision:
For night vision IR light source is required. Tests with little remaining were only almost black recordings finished.
All in all, one can increase its Raspberry Pi for a little over 20 EUR enormously in its functionality.
