Imagine a child you had to leave your country (Lower Silesia in Poland to the German border) to escape Nazism and ten years later you return there under a false identity to kill your childhood friend who had the unfortunate idea of becoming the most famous Luftwaffe pilot and incidentally the face of Uncle Adolf.
Although somewhat fictionalized (the fighter ace Adolf Galland falls for Hanna), the scenario is reinforced concrete to the teeth. Documentation of the time is very detailed (excluding Focke-Wulf Triebflügel who have never been operational and the Fieseler 103-V1 with enough drivers improbable but necessary for the story).
The drawings, whether aircraft, characters or sets, are always beautiful, the colors ditto. It was right at the beginning of the album to essential air combat between the benches of American bombers and wunderwaffen.
A flashback mountain in the thirties shows the discovery of a bear skull of prehistoric caves that explains the title of the series.
A great success, until in the third and last volume the arrival of the third thief Werner (with even a swastika to cover?).
